Bridge
One side you were carving
wood of a handle shape
life where you beat your
own wolf,
You climb while you tried
to sharpen your knives,
Laid a walkway you can
cheer away what you once
feared.
I struggle to climb and
attempted rose petal flights,
Light shines as wooden
branches parts the way,
Butterflies flutter by as
God’s feather wipes my
glassy eyes and untangle
my vines from melodic
lies.
Interwoven threads pour
two steps escalating to
the sun as he and she
reached their peace,
One step, another step,
forward to the future
what should it be?
who could it be?
Deceitful lies? Joyous ties?
Face-to-face we see as
one with sparkling eyes,
Smiles wide as we can
hear our minds and how
blue skies arise with sun
shines among dead vines,
flowers lie on our mossy
incline
We interweave our hands
and walk on solid land,
Pulling each other to keep
from falling again,
We sing to the hymns to
push away all downward
plans
