Tourist Attraction
My friends and I were escorted down a hall leading into an empty room, and one of the employees in their main team explained to us the importance of how their research and project has come a long way.
As for myself, I had no idea what they were talking about since they didn’t give us any background information of what their project was about. The only person who had an idea about the place was the one who drove us.
After one employee explained to us the importance of their project, they led us outside into an open space that looked like a stage with wooden floors and a large projection screen about half the size of the room. One of our friends in our group went into the middle of the space in awe, looking up at the projection screen and then noticed something startled him. His eyes went wide, backed up, and tried to run but a couple of guards were holding his arms down to keep him from escaping, “Save yourselves! It’s not as you all think it is!” His eyes went gold with a hint of black around his iris, and then a black shadow-smoke swooped out from below the projection toward the guy. We didn’t know what had happened to him because once we saw the black shadow-smoke we started to leave before anyone could catch us.
We all ran down a hallway where it looked like nobody seemed to bother stopping us, but it was better not to make any commotion just in case we get trapped inside. Once we found our exit it led us outside into an alley where the buildings that surrounded us were made of brick, and we heard voices eerily saying, “Where are you going? You’re missing out on all the fun.” I tried to look back at who said that, and it was two young teens and one looked like it had black hair let down on each side of its cheeks and was grinning toward us with smite.
We ran toward our van as we got inside two of our other friends who didn’t want to join were waiting for us, one in the passenger side heavily asleep as she didn’t wake up when we got inside. The other person was seated at the back who looked alarmed at us asking, “What happened?!” We all rushed inside the car urging the last one to get in to close the door. Our driver who came with us got to the front, looked frazzled, fear in his eyes, and said calmly, “We have to go they’re going to come after us.”
One of them looked out their car and said, “Those two are getting close to us let’s get out of here!” It was the two young teens that I heard behind us back in the alleyway, and I saw the other teen-- it was not a teen, but a small toddler that had a face of an old man! Both unbothered and both grinning at us with smite as we drove past them, we didn’t bother to look back because if we did it might jinx our escape from that place. Then, I remembered my parents were planning on visiting that place too as it’s a public attraction to tourists. Tourists that went in probably never came out, which was a way to feed that shadow beast.
We got back to the place we were staying at, and I told them as we walked inside, “I need to make a phone call.” I was about to dial my mom’s number when I heard my mom walking in with my dad and when they saw me, I asked them, “I thought you were going to that attraction?” And my mom explained to me how she heard that place was not as it seems to be so she thought it would be best for them to skip the attraction.
The following day my friends and I all decided to keep what they saw to themselves, so no one gets alarmed by the fact a black shadow could take over us. We all agreed to keep it to ourselves including our parents. We heard my mom yell out “Let’s go! We need to head out for our group lunch!” We all scuttled out into my mom’s car, as we backed out from the garage under the sunlight, I noticed something around one of my friends, it looked like a small shadow hovering on the side of their arm.
